-Passion; losing it-

not gonna care if anyone's stalking my blog.
not gonna care if this affects anyone.
but, this is it.
it's been in my mind for so long.
time to sort it all out, right here.

now i really understand..
what you mean when you say, the feeling is no longer there.
honestly speaking, the recent Taiko trainings are getting somewhat pointless.
it's not that i hate Taiko or whatsoever.
it's just.. i'm losing it.
i can feel my passion for Taiko slowly wearing out.
but i am still holding onto it, bcus losing it would mean losing my pursuit.
Taiko is my goal in life, my joy.
it always will be.
but looking at the way it is now..
it's not what i really want.
1 hour basics, it's loquacious, really.
i mean, why spend so much time on the basics?
yes, i know it's impt, but look.
what Tristan is doing for basics, is quite useless.
i would rather he focus on the more impt ones.
what i see now is that, he does redundant basics like "san doko" 2nd/3rd accent.
i'm not saying they are useless, but think abt it.
how often do we use it in our pieces?
the situation now is that, we have very few good players.
shouldn't we be doing basics on our "dong", "doko" and "deng ke" more?
those that are more often used.
then the rest can train at our own time, or when we have remaining time in training.
1 hour is a bit too much.
then can see Tristan also like, blur blur, unsure of what basics to do..
after this 1 hour basics, completely had no more energy and interest to continue.
just want to nua one side and sleep.
bcus 1 hour is pretty much boring.
and it takes up too much time, making us have not enough time to practice songs.
then in the end eat into our time.
and i have morning class the day after.

then Tristan.. aiya.
kinda regret my choice now.
shouldn't have put him as the head of Taiko.
he really lacks the power, the authority of a leader.
too softspoken.
okay, being softspoken has its good and bad.
what i want this head of Taiko to have, is a balance of soft and stern.
i choose Tristan is because, he is not so straightforward.
i don't want him to be as stern as Shi Ning.
i mean, she is a good leader, she has the power to impact us.
her straightforwardness makes our mistakes known.
but then she is too straightforward, and a few of us cannot tahan.
i'm okay with her straightforwardness, i'm able to laugh it off.
but some of them, like Kadence, cannot. :/
so you see, that's why i voted for Tristan.
partly bcus of his potential/skills and his passion for Taiko.
but he has to change his too softspoken character.
otherwise, he will not have enough power to manage the nxt batch.

then.. that Andrew guy talked about making changes.
costume wise, performance wise, instrument wise.
you think we don't know meh?
but what can we do when sch doesn't support us with fund?
no money, no new stuff.
well, maybe we can do something abt the performance part.
as in the way we present our drum pieces.
you want fusion, break away from tradition, possible.
i mean that is within our means.
you want more performance pieces, more songs.
possible, we can compose our own, just need creativity.
whatever we can do, we do.
but other aspects, we can't when we don't have money for it.
costumes.. what borrow from JTC Cosplay club?
instruments.. we can't even afford new costumes, forget abt it.
actually i was thinking of setting up Taiko club fund.
one week one dollar, contributed from everyone.
but then, look at the amt of ppl we have.
we prolly need like.. 5~7 years for an okedo lol.
so, that's out of consideration.
unless we have more ppl, club fund is not a feasible idea.
then i thought of applying for bursary again this coming Apr.
use part of it to the benefits of Taiko, be it instrument or costume.
like i said, i don't mind spending money for something which i rlly love.
Taiko is my passion, i don't wanna ever lose the passion for it.

the current Taiko club cannot survive, with its limited talent.
talent aside, we lack of teamwork.
and it makes our mistakes on stage more obvious.
we need to trust each other.
without trust, our teamwork will be cui.
that's why i wanted Taiko club outing.
helps the bonding.
right now, i see that the club is like advancing at their own pace.
everyone is having different levels.
we need to work tgt.
i don't want us to fall apart bcus of our differences in skill.
everyone counts.

for now, this is how i feel everytime i go for Taiko training.
worrying about stuff that the future head of Taiko shld worry about. :/
if not for NP JTC Taiko, i would have joined the Hibikiya training grp.
and slowly work my way to Tenko.
but bcus of the ppl i cherish now..
it's still kinda hard for me to just go like tht.
although i said, nobody will stop me from my passion.
enjoying Taiko with the people i enjoy, is what i want.
and thereafter, i will continue my future with Taiko.
i truly love Taiko.
i will pursue it, for as long as i live.
even though right after training on sat, i have work, i don't mind.
i'm tired, but happy.
and it's all that matters.
please, let Taiko remain as the joy of my life.
now that the person who once gave my life so much joy no longer does..
oh well.
at least now, i don't have to worry about those things that i once did.
