Thursday, March 8, 2012 ♥ ほら、20年やっても、これから先 30年やってもまだまだ足りない、もっと良くなりたいって言うじゃない？プロじゃないけど趣味でもないまあ毎日　叩きたくて　叩きたくて一週間に一回二回打つのじゃ足りなくてそれでもう気が合ってねでもプロの人ってそれが仕事で、それで生活する。逃れないじゃない？みんな仕事とか家族とか色々優先にするものがあるじゃない私たちにとってそれが太鼓なの太鼓が生活じゃないのね。人生で、生き方なのね。太鼓は不思議よね不思議な音だよ言葉もそうだけど、太鼓を叩く時ってねえ… 太鼓の音に魂を乗せて科学では説明できないこの　 —魂が伝わる感じ— 感じるんだね感じるんだよ瓦礫の中は爽やかだったのよびっくりしたけどああ、この人たちは大丈夫だねってでも避難所はね、重いのよ空気がね本当にでそこでも演奏したんだけど金色に輝いていたのよ… あの心に重い傷を抱えている人たちがね見ず知らずの私たちに色々話すのよ… ああ、私たちの伝えたいものが伝わっているんだね、ってまあプロになったら色々あるけど変わったりもするんだよねまあ変わらない人もいるけど変わる人もいるのねだからその最初の頃の気持ちを忘れないで… ずっと純粋に太鼓やってほしいですね See, after twenty years, and even after another ten years It’s not going to be enough - we want to get even better - right? We’re not pros, but it wasn’t a hobby for us either It wasn’t something we wanted to do once or twice a week We wanted to play Taiko every day, every-single-day And we clicked immediately But professionals, those people, this is their job They survive off of this and they can’t avoid it, no? Whether it’s their job or their family Everyone has something they prioritize over everything else That’s what Taiko is for us. Taiko isn’t a means of living. Taiko is our life, it’s our way of life. Taiko is fascinating… It’s a mysterious sound, isn’t it? It’s the same for words but, when I hit a Taiko drum… My soul rides with the sound It’s something science can’t explain This —feeling of your soul, reaching someone— I feel it, you see I feel it Within the rubbles [of tsunami-hit areas], the air was crisp. It was surprising, but we said to each other then, “ah, these people here are fine” But at the shelters it’s heavy, you see. The air was so heavy. And we played there too, but then the people there When they watched us, they were glowing in gold—— Those people with deep scars in their hearts They began to speak all kinds of things to us, to complete strangers like us… And we thought, ”ah, it’s reaching them” The things we wanted to convey, they’re reaching them A lot will happen when you turn pro Some will change -Well, some people won’t change- But some people would, right?
